Merrimack Valley Chapter
Meets at the Lawrence History Center, Lawrence, Massachusetts, on the fourth or last Saturday morning of the month from September to June. Unless otherwise noted, meetings begin at 10:00 AM.
MSOG is made up of chapters throughout Massachusetts: Bristol, Martha's Vineyard, Merrimack Valley, Middlesex, and Worcester. Each chapter has its own governing board of officers, an annual meeting, and an election. Each chapter is a member of the state board and is represented by the chapter's president. Chapters do not meet during the months of July and August.

| October 27, 10am-noon | Speaker: Kate Ritter, owner of PC9LIVES, a local computer repair company Topic: Genealogy Data Storage: How to backup your ancestry & hand down your photos to future generations. Kate has over twenty years of computer and support experience, both in the corporate environment and her own business. PC9LIVES is a computer repair/training company that supports home and small business customers on the North Shore. Follow this link to submit your questions to Kate for her to answer in her presentation! Kate also owns Willow the Good Enterprises, a corporate team building company. Improvisation is used to teach communication, cooperation, listening and speaking skills. Improvisation teaches "yes, and" versus "yes, but" thinking for creative problem solving. She is also the author of "Apprentices of Connecticut, 1690-1900." |

"Share the Skeletons in Your Closet" Members led Group Discussion.
Open to the Public, all are Welcome! Was great grandpa a bootlegger or great grandma a showgirl? We all have them, those interesting family secrets no one spoke of or were only whispered about. Maybe something you suspected and went looking for proof of or a tantalizing discovery you found during your family research. Come to this group discussion and share the skeletons in your closet, what led you to them, and how it has changed your own family history. Bring your stories and source material to share with the group to what should be an enlightening exchange. All are welcome, refreshments served |
